News & Stories
News and stories from Don Bosco Cares — how our programs serve the
community, and how you can be part of them. We will share updates here
as they are available.
Volunteer with Don Bosco Cares
Our Community Meals, Food Pantry, Open Closet, Senior & Disability
Services, and Mobile Pantry programs are supported by volunteers from
across the community. Volunteers help prepare and serve meals,
organize donations, and support neighbors who come to us for
assistance.
Volunteer placement is not automatic. Carmen Lopez de Linero reviews
volunteer interest personally and will help you find the program that
fits you best.

Ways to give
Gifts of money and goods both help Don Bosco Cares serve individuals,
families, seniors, and people with disabilities in Port Chester.
Checks and cash can be given in person at the center, and we
gratefully welcome donations of clothing, food, small appliances, and
other useful household items.
Before dropping off larger items, please contact us so we can confirm
current needs and arrange a convenient time.

Our five programs
Don Bosco Cares operates five programs: Community Meals, the Food
Pantry, Open Closet, Senior & Disability Services, and the Mobile
Pantry. Each has its own schedule and its own way of meeting a
particular need in our community.

Working alongside our partners
Don Bosco Cares is grateful to the organizations that work alongside
us in supporting individuals and families throughout our community —
food banks, schools, healthcare organizations, and neighborhood
service providers.
